Using Huawei Cloud Astro Canvas
Huawei Cloud Astro Canvas is a low-code platform for large screen development, enabling enterprises to visualize data efficiently. Before using this service, read this section to understand the process.
Purchasing Instances
Before using this service, purchase an instance. An instance is an independent resource space. Resources of different instances are isolated from each other.
- Purchasing Instances: Huawei Cloud Astro Canvas provides basic, professional, and enterprise editions in yearly/monthly billing mode. You can purchase them as required. If you have not purchased an instance, you can apply for a free one-month trial of the basic edition.
- Purchasing an Expansion Package to Increase Pages: If you reach the page limit, you can purchase an expansion package to increase the number of pages.
Creating a Workspace
Each workspace corresponds to a new Huawei Cloud Astro Canvas. You can create workspaces to isolate and control permissions on accounts' resources.
- Creating a Workspace: The instance purchaser creates a workspace as required to isolate resources.
- Adding a Member to a Workspace: Add users to a workspace to enable them to create projects and pages within it.
- Setting the Workspace Page Quota: Set a page quota for the workspace. If exceeded, no more pages can be created.
Creating a Project
Before creating a page, you need to create a project. A project can be regarded as a collection of service scenarios. A project can have multiple pages.
- Creating a Large Screen and PC Project: To create a page of a large screen, select Large Screens and PCs to create a project.
- Creating a Mobile Project: To create a mobile page, select Mobile to create a project.
Creating a Page
Building a large screen involves creating a large screen or mobile page, mastering over 70 widgets, and customizing pages to meet specific requirements.
- Getting to Know the Development Page: The development page includes areas for widgets, layers, datasets, a canvas, function buttons, and themes. Understand each area's functions before you start development.
- Creating a Page Using an Empty Canvas: Build pages by dragging widgets and adjusting the page layout, widget data, and interaction mode. After creating a page, you can add more widgets to it.
- Creating a Page Using a Template: Reusable pages are provided as preset and custom templates for creating new pages, reducing workload and improving efficiency.
- Creating a Page Using a Page Template File: Save developed pages as templates to reuse for new pages, reducing repetition and speeding up development.
Publishing and Installing a Project
You can preview a developed project online or package it for release. With one click, you can deploy it in Environment A and install it in Environment B. This enables quick development, testing, and rollout, and allows assets on large screens, PCs, and mobile devices to be easily migrated between environments.
- Publishing a Project
You can publish a project with just a few clicks, and package the project's dataset data together.
- Installing a Project
You can download the published project package and install it in different environments for migration.
