DWS Data Sources

Data Warehouse Service (DWS) is a fully-managed, enterprise-level cloud data warehouse service. It is O&M-free and supports online scale-out and multi-source data loading, and it is compatible with the PostgreSQL ecosystem. It helps enterprises efficiently analyze and monetize massive amounts of data online. For details, see DWS Documentation.

Creating a DWS Data Source

  1. Log in to Huawei Cloud Astro Canvas by referring to Logging In to Huawei Cloud Astro Canvas.
  2. Choose Data Center from the main menu.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Data Sources.
  4. On the Data Sources page, click Create.
  5. Choose DWS and set data source parameters.

    • Name: name of the data source, which is used to identify the data source. The name can contain 1 to 32 characters, including letters, digits, and underscores (_), but cannot start or end with an underscore (_).
    • Domain Name: database domain name.
    • Port: specifies the database port. The value ranges from 0 to 65535.
    • User name: username for logging in to the database.
    • Password: password of the database user.
    • Database Name: database instance name.
    • Description: description of the data source to be created.

  6. Click Test. If the connection is successful, the data source is ready to use.
  7. Click Save.
