Expenditure Data Storage Function Is Optimized

The bill data storage service is optimized to provide more detailed bill data to customers. The customers who have enabled the bill data storage service can click the button in the upper right corner of the page to experience the new version of the service.

The new version does not affect the old version of the service. If the customers want to switch to the new version, they can disable the old version by themselves.

In the new version, customers can subscribe to the following types of bill files:

• Bill details filtered by a combination of Resource and By billing cycle
• Bill details filtered by a combination of Usage Type and Details

Export Function on Renewals Is Optimized

The export function on the Renewals page is optimized, and prompts are added to introduce the functions in brief.

• One-click Export is changed to Export Renewal Prices. All resources that meet the filter criteria on the current tab page can be exported. The exported file contains the current list prices and discounted prices, which can be used to estimate the renewal fees. A maximum of 10,000 records can be exported.
• Batch Export is changed to Export Pending Renewals. The selected resources to be renewed can be exported. On the Export page, customers can adjust the renewal duration as required, view the available discounts and discounted prices, and estimate the renewal fees. A maximum of 200 records can be exported.

Rules of Calculating the Billing Cycle Are Changed

In accordance with the Huawei Cloud User Agreement, Huawei Cloud will change how the billing cycle is calculated.

Starting at 00:00:00 (GMT+08:00) on September 1, 2024, Huawei Cloud will use the month when an expenditure occurs to calculate the billing cycle. The specific rules are as follows:

1. If the expenditure occurred in the previous month, and the bill was generated in the previous month, the expenditure is counted as part of the previous billing cycle.
2. If the expenditure occurred in the previous month, and the bill was generated between 00:00:00 and 23:59:59 on 1st day of the current month, the expenditure is counted as part of the previous billing cycle.
3. If the expenditure occurred in the previous month, and the bill was generated after 23:59:59 on 1st dat of the current month, the expenditure is counted as part of the current billing cycle.
4. If the expenditure occurred during the current month, and the bill was generated in the current month, the expenditure is counted as part of the current billing cycle.

Auto-renewal Fee Deduction Date Is Optimized

• Two options are added to Auto-renewal Deduction Date so that customers can choose to enable the system to renew resources 1 day before they expire or on the day when they expire. Resources can be automatically renewed on their expiration dates or 1 to 7 days before they expire.
• The position of the Auto-renewal Deduction Date button is moved to the upper right corner of the tab page, and the current fee deduction date for auto-renewal is displayed.

Orders That Cannot Be Paid Can Be Automatically Canceled

Huawei Cloud will automatically cancel an order if it cannot be paid in one of the following scenarios. Customers can view the reasons in the prompts of their canceled orders.

• The payment deadline exceeded.
• The resource has been deleted, the resource specifications have been changed, or the billing mode of the resource has been changed to Pay-per-Use.
• The order is rejected.
• The unsubscription refunds failed.
• The auto-renewal has been performed, so the manual renewal order is not required.
• The associated contract has been terminated.

Resource Information Cannot Be Updated to the Historical Yearly/Monthly Product Orders

For a yearly/monthly product, if a customer updates the resource name and resource tag on the cloud service console, the new name and tag will not be updated to the resources which have expired in the bill.

Example:

1. On October 10, 2023, a customer subscribed to an EVS disk for one month. The Billing Center generated an order for the new purchase and the bill for the resource usage.
2. On November 8, 2023, the customer renewed the EVS disk for one month. The Billing Center generated another order for the renewal and the bill for the resource usage.
3. On November 20, 2023, the customer updated the resource name and resource tag on the EVS console.

Optimizations Have Been Made on Setting a Renewal Date

On Renewals of Orders in the Billing Center:

On the Manual Renewals and Auto Renewals tab page, Set Renewal Date is grayed out if no resource is selected. After customers select resources and click Renewal Date. The Renewal Date page is displayed. Customers can click to change the renewal date and click Pay to go to the payment page. After the payment is complete, the selected resources will be renewed to the renewal date.
