  1. A dialog box is displayed when you unsubscribe from a resource with a renewal period.

    When you unsubscribe from an in-use resource that is scheduled for renewal but not yet renewed, a dialog box is displayed, saying "The following resources involve renewal periods that have not taken effect. If you still need to use the resource, you can unsubscribe from just the renewal period that has not yet started." In this case, you can choose to go to the Unsubscribe from Renewal Periods page or proceed with the unsubscription.

  2. The prompt message for large-value order unsubscription is optimized.

    When your unsubscription from a large-value order is in the pending review state, the message displayed on the order details page is optimized as follows: "Your unsubscription request is pending review by your account manager and will be processed within 24 hours. Wait until the review is completed. Learn more"

Prompt messages are added for renewing or unsubscribing from associated resources.

If you want to renew or unsubscribe from an instance with associated resources, options and messages for the associated operation are displayed as follows:

  • Renew associated instances: "Some of the instances you've selected are associated with yearly/monthly instances. You are advised to renew these associated instances together with the selected instances to avoid service interruptions or possible data loss due to different expiration times."
  • Unsubscribe from associated instances: "Some of the instances you've selected are associated with yearly/monthly instances. If you no longer need these associated instances, you can unsubscribe from them along with the selected instances to reduce your costs."

Resource packages do not support the same renewal date setting. The details are as follows:

  • If the instances selected in the renewal list contain resource packages, when you click Renewal Date, the instances that do not support the renewal date setting are displayed in the sidebar.
  • If there are resource packages selected for batch renewal, when you select Renewal Date, the check boxes before the resource packages are grayed out, indicating that the renewal date cannot be set. The message "Instances that do not support setting the renewal date: X" is displayed.

The layout of the cloud service unsubscription page is reorganized as follows:

  1. The Confirm Unsubscription pane is added for unsubscriptions from in-use resources. The confirmation checkbox and messages are relocated from the lower right corner of the page to the added pane.
  2. The Actual Refund pane is added to the lower part of the page. The refund, message, and confirm button are relocated from the lower right corner to the new pane. The refund destination is provided.
  3. If you are a partner's customer or using a member account, the following message will be displayed: For orders paid by your partner or master account, the refund will be returned to the payer's Huawei Cloud account.

  • If you enable auto-renewal for a resource about to expire and the resource will expire earlier than 03:00 (GMT+08:00) on the expiration date, the auto-renewal may fail. To avoid this situation, the auto-renewal fee is now deducted immediately after you enable auto-renewal.

Auto-renewal can be selected on the Renewals page.

On the Renewals page, the auto-renewal check box is added. When manually renewing instances, you can also select auto-renewal for them.

  • The auto-renewal duration is the same as the manual renewal duration. By default, the number of auto-renewals is not limited.
  • If you manually renew an instance with auto-renewal already enabled, the auto-renewal duration and number of auto-renewals remain unchanged.
  • If no instance supports auto-renewal or auto-renewal has been enabled for all instances, the auto-renewal check box is not displayed by default.

After you transfer money offline using a general account, you need to log in to the Billing Center and choose Funds Management > Bank Transfer Claim to submit a request to claim the money.

The export function on the Renewals page is optimized.

The export function on the Renewals page is optimized, and messages are provided to clarify the difference between the two export methods.

  • One-click Export is changed to Export Renewal Prices. All resources that meet the filter criteria on the current page can be exported. The exported file contains the current list prices and discounted prices, which can be used to estimate the renewal price. A maximum of 10,000 records can be exported at a time.
  • Batch Export is changed to Export Pending Renewals. The selected resources to be renewed can be exported. On the Export page, you can adjust the renewal duration, view the available discounts and discounted prices, and estimate the renewal price. A maximum of 200 records can be exported at a time.

The billing cycle can be set to a period of up to last 36 months on the Bill Details page.

On the Bill Details page of the Billing Center, you can select the last 36 months in Billing Cycle to view your expenditures.

  • If you select billing cycles between the last 19 to 36 months, a dialog box is displayed, asking you to download the historical data on the Export page.

The rules for calculating the billing cycle are optimized.

In accordance with the HUAWEI CLOUD Customer Agreement, Huawei Cloud will change how the billing cycle is calculated.

Starting from 00:00:00 (GMT+08:00) on September 01, 2024, Huawei Cloud will use the month when an expenditure is generated to calculate the billing cycle. Specifically:

  1. If both the consumption time and transaction time were in the previous month, the transaction is counted as part of the previous billing cycle.
  2. If the consumption time was in the previous month, and the transaction time is between 00:00:00 and 23:59:59 on the 1st day of the current month, the transaction is counted as part of the previous billing cycle.
  3. If the consumption time was in the previous month, and the transaction time is after 23:59:59 on the 1st day of the current month, the transaction is counted as part of the current billing cycle.
  4. If both the consumption time and transaction time are in the current month, the transaction is counted as part of the current billing cycle.

For yearly/monthly products, after you update the resource name and resource tag on the cloud service console, the updates are not be included in the bill details if the resource information has expired. Example:

Operation:

1. On October 10, 2023, you purchased a one-month EVS disk. The Billing Center generated an order for your new purchase.

2. On November 08, 2023, you renewed the EVS disk for one month. The Billing Center generated an order for your renewal.

3. On November 20, 2023, you updated the resource name and resource tag on the EVS console.

Result:

  • The resources in the new purchase order have expired, so the resource name and tag will not be updated in the bill of that order.
  • However, the resources in the renewal order are still in use, and the resource name and tag will be updated in the bill of that order.

  • When you unsubscribe from resources with auto-renewal enabled, the auto-renewal function will not be automatically disabled. A link is added to the unsubscription result page. You can click the link to go to the renewal page and then change auto-renewal to manual renewal.

On the Overview page:

  • When you click Discount, the data whose Discount Type is Savings Plans is displayed in the discount list.
  • The Savings Plans information is displayed in the monthly bill summary. The information includes the savings plan's order No., payment option, total price, upfront fee, recurring fee, unsubscription fee, unsubscription handling fee, deduction details, and paid amount.

On the Bill Details page:

The expenditure details of savings plans are displayed, including the upfront fee, recurring fee, and deduction details.
