Creating a Contingency Plan

COC provides a set of standardized public contingency plans tailored to typical operational scenarios, covering the majority of routine fault-handling needs and fulfilling general emergency response requirements. However, if your business has unique operational policies, specialized failure scenarios, or finds that the processes, procedures, or role assignments in the public contingency plans do not align with your fault-handling needs, you can create custom contingency plans on COC. These custom contingency plans should be based on your specific application architecture, operational framework, and potential system failure risks. You may flexibly configure core elements of a plan—including fault description, fault-handling workflow, detailed operational steps, assigned responsibilities, and post-resolution validation criteria—according to the anticipated fault type, impact scope, and handling priority. Once created and saved, these custom contingency plans become immediately available for execution. When a matching fault occurs, O&M personnel can quickly retrieve the relevant custom contingency plan and follow its standardized procedures to perform rapid fault localization, mitigation, and recovery. This effectively standardizes fault-handling actions, improves fault-handling efficiency, minimizes business impact, and ensures the continuous and stable operation of critical systems.
