How Do I Enable the HSS Basic Edition?

Enable protection for ECS.

(Recommended) Enable this function when purchasing ECS on the console.

Automatic

• When you purchase an ECS, select Enable for the Host Security parameter and select the basic edition. HSS will automatically install the agent on the ECS and enable the basic edition in pay-per-use mode.

You can check the protection status in the server list.

Enable HSS for existing servers.

Enable this function on the HSS console.

Manual

On the HSS console, manually install the HSS agent and enable the basic edition.

1. Install the Linux or Windows agent.
2. Enable HSS.
