The security of your servers varies by cluster configurations.
- If none of the nodes in a cluster are bound to EIPs, the cluster is generally secure.
- If a cluster has been bound to an EIP, the cluster is exposed to external risks.
Solution
If none of the nodes in a cluster are bound to EIPs, the cluster is generally secure.
If a cluster has been bound to an EIP, the cluster is exposed to attacks from external networks. In this case, you are advised to deploy HSS on all the servers in the cluster.
If HSS is deployed on all your servers, and a virus infects one of them, the virus will not be able to spread to others and damage your entire network.
