Asset View

Prerequisites

• Access to cloud assets has been authorized. For details, see Allowing or Disallowing Access to Cloud Assets.
• Specific assets have been added or authorized. For details, see Adding and Authorizing Data Assets in DSC.
• Metadata scanning has been completed. A metadata scanning task can be automatically triggered. For details, see Creating a Metadata Scanning Task.
• Sensitive data has been identified. For details about sensitive data identification, see Creating an Identification Task.
• Before exporting asset metadata, you need to enable the OBS service. For details about how to enable the OBS service, see Enabling and Using OBS.

Viewing the Asset Catalog

1. Log in to the DSC console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Asset Management > Asset View.
4. On the Asset Groups or Data Type tab page, view information about authorized data assets.

   • On the Asset Groups page, select the group you want to view in the left navigation tree. The information is displayed as shown in Table 2.

     Parameter	Description
     Statistics	Viewing details: Click View Details. On the Sensitive Data Statistics page, statistics about the assets in the group are displayed in three dimensions, including Classification and Grading, Confidentiality dimensions, and Database dimensions. Classification and Grading: Displays the database, table, and column information based on the identification template. Confidentiality dimensions: Displays the database, table, and column information by confidentiality level. Database dimensions: Displays the table, column, and hit classification information by database. The Statistics module provides the following information: Sensitive databases/Total databases: the percentage of sensitive databases in all databases Sensitive tables/Total tables: the percentage of sensitive data tables in all data tables Sensitive data columns/Total columns: the percentage of sensitive data columns in all data columns NOTE: WoW indicates the data changes compared with the previous week.
     Percentage of Different Levels of Data	The pie chart shows the percentage of sensitive data columns of different confidentiality levels in the total data columns Click a confidentiality level to view the databases, tables, and columns at that level. Click View Details. On the Confidentiality dimensions tab of the Sensitive Data Statistics page, view the database, table, and column information by confidentiality level.
     Top 5 Categories	Top 5 data types in the classification results by percentage Click a category name to view all databases, tables, and columns in that category. Click View Details. On the Classification Details page, view all category information. Click to view the databases, tables, and columns in a category.
     Data Volume	The line chart shows the change of data volume over time. Click Total columns or Sensitive columns to display the data. Click View Details. On the Database dimensions tab of the Sensitive Data Statistics page, view the table, column, and hit rule information by database.
     Databases	This module displays the number of databases, tables, and columns that contain sensitive data in database instances, including Database Instance/ID, Host Ip, User, Sensitive Databases, Sensitive Tables, and Sensitive Columns. In the database list, click to expand the instance details, including Database, Total Tables, Sensitive Tables, Sensitivity Level, Label, Category Record, Security Level Record, and Last Scanned. Click the database name. The Database Details page is displayed, including the Basic Information and Database Tables tabs. The Basic Information tab displays the database type, version, and name, and allows you to modify the database description, label, category, and security level. Click Analyze to analyze the security levels of database tables based on their column security levels generated in the sensitive data identification results. The Database Tables tab displays the table name, number of table columns, number of rows, schema name, description, label, category, security level, security level record, and category record. You can click the table name, number of columns, or schema name to view details.

   • On the Data Type page, select a data type from the left navigation pane to view data assets, including structured data and unstructured data.
     • To view structured data asset information, click a structured data asset type on the left. The information in Table 3 is displayed.

     • To view unstructured data asset information, click an unstructured data asset type on the left. The information in Table 4 is displayed.

       Parameter	Description
       Statistics	Click View Details. On the Sensitive Data Statistics page, statistics are displayed in three dimensions, including Classification and Grading, Confidentiality dimensions, and OBS Buckets. Classification and Grading: Displays the bucket names that match the classification based on the identification template. Confidentiality dimensions: Displays bucket names by confidentiality level. OBS Buckets: Displays the information about the files in the bucket that match the classification by bucket name. The Statistics module provides the following information: Sensitive buckets/Total buckets: indicates the ratio of sensitive buckets to all buckets. Sensitive files/Scanned files: indicates the ratio of sensitive files to scanned files.
       File Information Sensitivity Level Distribution	The pie chart shows the distribution of files by security level as a percentage of all files. Click a confidentiality level to view the buckets at that level. Click View Details. On the Confidentiality dimensions tab of the Sensitive Data Statistics page, view the buckets by confidentiality level.
       Top 5 Categories	Top 5 data types in the classification results by percentage Click a category name to view all buckets in that category. Click View Details. On the Classification Details page, view all category information. Click to view the buckets in a category.
       Data Volume	The line chart shows the change of data volume over time. Click Scanned Files or Sensitive Files to display the data. Click View Details. On the OBS Buckets tab of the Sensitive Data Statistics page, view the information by bucket.
       OBS Buckets	View the number of sensitive files and sensitivity level. Locate the target bucket and click Details in the Operation column to view the Data, Description, Label, Category, Sensitivity Level, Sensitivity Level Record, Category Record, and Last Scanned of the files in the bucket. Click to modify the Description, Label, Category, and Sensitivity Level. After sensitive data identification, Category and Sensitivity Level are automatically specified. Click to modify the information and then click to lock the information, preventing it from being modified again.

Importing Classification and Grading Results

Batch import classification and grading results to existing metadata database table columns using the provided template.

• The metadata must have been scanned and exist in the system.
• Additionally, the classification and grading template must be pre-configured in Configuring Sensitive Data Identification Rules.

1. Log in to the DSC console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Asset Management > Asset View.
4. Click Import Classification Results in the upper right corner. The Import Classification Results dialog box is displayed.
5. Click Download Template to download the template. The requirements for importing data are as follows:
   • The uploaded file must be in XLSX format and not exceed 20 MB.
   • A maximum of 100,000 data records can be imported.
   • If metadata of an imported database, table, or column does not exist in the system, it will be skipped. The system returns details for the first 100 skipped or failed import records.
   • If an imported classification and grading template is not found in the system, its associated information will be skipped. To ensure a successful import of all results, create or import the necessary classification and grading template on the Creating a Template page.

6. When an imported classification and grading result conflicts with existing metadata classifications, select one of the following processing modes:
   • Add: The newly imported classification coexists with existing classification information.
   • Overwrite: The newly imported classification replaces the original classification.

7. Click Add File. Upon successful file upload, import progress reaches 100%.

Exporting Asset Metadata

Asset metadata can be exported to a local PC with few clicks for offline viewing and analysis.

1. Log in to the DSC console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Asset Management > Asset View.
4. Click Export Asset Metadata in the upper right corner. The Export Asset Metadata dialog box is displayed.
   • Asset Group:
     • Select a group from the drop-down list.
     • If no asset group is selected, data is exported by data type.
   • Target Bucket: Select a bucket from the drop-down list. If no bucket is available in the drop-down list, create an OBS bucket by referring to Creating an OBS Bucket. The catalog-results folder is created in the root directory of the bucket to store the exported file.
   

   OBS storage occupies certain storage space, which may incur fees. For details, see OBS Billing Overview.

5. Click OK. The status of Export Asset Metadata changes to Queuing or Running.
   The status of the generated result file is as follows:

   • Queuing: The generation task is queuing.
   • Running: The file is being generated.

   When the status changes from Queuing or Running to Export Asset Metadata, the metadata has been exported. You can perform Step 6 to download the metadata to your local PC.

6. Click Download Exported File to download the exported file to the local PC.
