Buying a General-Purpose Cloud Phone

General-Purpose KooPhone provides instances of different flavors. You can buy them as required.

Prerequisites

  1. Operations required in Signing up for a HUAWEI ID and Enabling Huawei Cloud Services have been completed.
  2. Operations required in Real-Name Authentication have been completed.
  3. Operations required in Applying for KooPhone OBT have been completed and the application has been approved.

Buying a General-Purpose Cloud Phone

  1. Sign in to the KooPhone console.
  2. On the Overview page of the general-purpose cloud phone, click Buy Cloud Phone in the upper right corner.

    You can also click Buy Now in the Recommended area of the Usage Guide page.

  3. Complete basic settings as prompted and based on Table 1.

    Parameter

    Description

    Billing Mode

    Yearly/Monthly or pay-per-use. For details, see Billing.

    • Yearly/Monthly: You can set the required duration. The system deducts fees at a time based on the purchase price.
      NOTICE:

      Yearly/Monthly cloud phone instances cannot be deleted. They can only be renewed or unsubscribed from. If you do not want to use a cloud phone anymore, choose More > Unsubscribe in the Operation column on the Cloud Phone Instances page.

    • Pay-per-use: You do not need to set the required duration when buying a pay-per-use cloud phone. The system deducts fees based on your actual usage duration. The billing starts when the KooPhone resource is created.
      NOTICE:
      • Pay-per-use cloud phone instances cannot be unsubscribed from. To stop using such an instance, choose More > Delete in the Operation column on the Cloud Phone Instances page. For details, see Deleting a General-Purpose Cloud Phone Instance.
      • If you choose Pay-per-use, ensure that your account has sufficient balance. If not, top up your account by referring to Topping Up an Account.

    Region

    Cloud phones in different regions cannot communicate with each other over an intranet. For lower network latency and quicker resource access, select the nearest region.

    Cloud Phone Type

    Professional cloud phones are provided. For details about the flavors of professional cloud phones, see Cloud Phone Flavors.

    Cloud Phone Bandwidth

    If you select the professional edition | 4 vCPUs | 8 GB | 64 GB | 720p, the bandwidth is 2 Mbit/s.

    Cloud Phone Image

    Currently, public images are supported.

    Cloud Phone Name

    Enters a cloud phone name. The name is customizable, which can contain up to 14 characters. Only letters, digits, hyphens (-), and underscores (_) are allowed.

    NOTE:

    Cloud phone names are automatically suffixed with a number in ascending order. Example: If you enter KooPhone, cloud phone instance names start from KooPhone-00001.

    Required Duration

    • Required Duration: Sets the service duration if you select the Yearly/Monthly billing mode. The service duration ranges from one month to three years.
    • Auto-renew:

    Purchase Quantity

    Sets the number of cloud phones to purchase. The value ranges from 1 to 200.

  4. Read and agree to the agreement. Confirm the information and click Pay Now.

    Skip this step if you select Pay-per-use.

    Wait for several minutes. If the cloud phones are displayed in the cloud phone instance list, the purchase or subscription is successful.

Follow-Up Operations

After buying a cloud phone, check its status, name, and other information on the Cloud Phone Instances page.

The newly purchased cloud phone is not assigned to any user. Create an organization and add users as required. For details, see Creating an Organization and Adding Department Members.
