Creating a PRR

In cloud service O&M, ensuring high availability and stability requires rigorous management of a service's entire lifecycle. However, in practice, the absence of standardized governance processes often results in insufficient preparation and testing before service release, leading to various post-deployment issues. Ensuring that a service achieves production readiness before release has therefore become a critical challenge. To address this, COC has introduced the PRR mechanism. This provides standardized governance across the service lifecycle, ensuring that every service undergoes comprehensive evaluation and validation before release—thereby significantly enhancing service stability and availability.

Prerequisites

You have enabled the Fault Drills (Professional Edition) package. For details about billing, see Billing Items.

Procedure Description

  1. Create a PRR template. This step is optional.

The PRR process consists of three phases: project initiation, design, and release. The review initiator can configure a review template based on service requirements.

  2. Perform self-check and initiate a PRR.

The review initiator initiates a PRR based on the configured PRR template after the self-check is complete.

  3. Record the PRR conclusion.

The meeting minutes taker reviews the project and records the review conclusion.

  4. Review the PRR conclusion.

    The reviewer reviews the conclusion.

    • If the conclusion is approved, the review proceeds to the next step if necessary.
    • If the conclusion is rejected, the review ends.
