Modifying Resources Associated with a Robot

To improve the configuration efficiency, the flow administrator can modify the resources associated with the flow, such as global variables, voice and video resources, work calendars, transfer policies, resource templates, and data tables, for the robot associated with a published flow. If the flow contains subflows or composite diagram elements, the flow administrator can also modify the information on this page.

Prerequisites

  • The flow associated with the robot has been published.
  • The current operator has the flow resource management permission.

Context

On the flow resource management page, the following resources of the current flow, subflows of the current flow, or composite diagram elements associated with the current flow can be modified:

  • Global variables: The effect of editing the global variables is the same as that of directly editing the information in Managing Variables.
  • Voice and video resources: The effect of editing the voice and video resources is the same as that of directly editing the information in Managing Voice and Video Resources.
  • Work calendars: The effect of editing the work calendars is the same as that of directly editing the information in Creating Work Calendar Templates.
  • Transfer policies: The effect of editing the transfer policies is the same as that of directly editing the information in Configuring a Transfer Policy.
  • Resource templates: The effect of editing the resource templates is the same as that of directly editing the information in Adding Resource Templates.
  • Data tables: The effect of editing the data tables is the same as that of directly editing the information in Adding Data Tables.

The preceding resources are global resources and may be referenced by other flows associated with the robot. Therefore, check the reference relationship before modifying the resources to ensure that the modification does not affect other flows.

Procedure

  1. Choose Configuration Center > Chatbot Management > Intelligent Chatbot.
  2. Click Process Resource Mgmt next to the robot to be modified.

This button is displayed only when the flow associated with the robot is an officially published flow and the current operator has the flow resource management permission.

If the system displays a message indicating that the flow associated with the robot is associated with another flow, evaluate the impact and determine whether to continue.

  3. In the resource tree on the left, select the object whose resource ownership needs to be modified.

In the resource tree, the top node indicates the associated flow. If the flow is associated with composite diagram elements or subflows, the composite diagram elements or subflows are displayed separately.

Note that the resources of composite diagram elements or subflows are displayed separately only after the corresponding nodes are selected in the resource tree. They are not displayed in the resource list under the top node.

  4. View the reference relationship of the resources to be modified.

Take the global variable messageRounds referenced by a flow as an example. Click View References next to the global variable to check whether the resource is associated with other flows.

  5. Close the flow reference information window, click Edit on the flow resource management page, and modify the resource, for example, change the default value.

    • To modify voice and video resources, click Update.
    • To update the data table, click Data.

  6. Click Save.
  7. Click to distinguish resources referenced in the current flow and composite diagram element by scenario. A maximum of 10 scenarios (excluding the default scenario) can be added.
  8. Select a resource and click Add to to add the selected resource to a scenario. The resource can be added to only one scenario.

  9. Click the Scenario tab, select a resource, and click Remove to remove the resource from the scenario.

Follow-up Procedure

The change takes effect immediately. The flow administrator can directly test the current robot to check whether the resource change takes effect.

For details about the test method, see Testing a Robot.
