Adding a Log Stream

Enterprises use Log Tank Service (LTS) to centrally store various cloud log assets, accumulating massive amounts of raw log data. However, because logs are hosted independently in LTS without automated security detection, manual log inspection makes it difficult to discover embedded sensitive data (such as personal privacy details and user credentials) in a timely manner, posing significant data leakage risks. To fully utilize log resources on the cloud and automatically detect sensitive data risks in logs, you can integrate your LTS log assets with DSC to automatically scan log data and proactively identify sensitive information exposure.

Prerequisites

Supported LTS Log Data Types

You can add log streams from Log Tank Service (LTS) to DSC for log data management.

    Description

    Asset

Enter a user-defined asset name containing 4 to 255 characters.

    Data Type

Select LTS from the drop-down list box.

    Log Group

Select a log group from the drop-down list box.

A log group is the basic unit for LTS to manage logs. It comprises log streams and categorizes them. A log group does not store any log data. It only helps with log stream management.

    Log Stream

Select the log stream to be added from the drop-down list box.

A log stream is the basic unit for reading and writing logs. Collected logs of different types are classified and stored in different log streams for easier log management. If there are a large number of logs, you can create multiple log streams and name them for quick log search.

  7. After the asset is added, the Connectivity of the asset is Checking, which means DSC is checking the asset connectivity.
