Enabling Enhanced Internet Access (NAT Gateway+EIP)

Scenario

The administrator can configure a NAT gateway and an EIP for each subnet as required. After they are enabled, all desktops in the subnet can access the Internet.

Prerequisites

Workspace has been subscribed to.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Workspace console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Internet Access Management.

The Internet Access page is displayed.

  3. Click the button of enabling Internet access in the upper right corner of the page.

The page of enabling Internet access is displayed.

  4. Configure Internet access, as shown in Table 1.

Enabling enhanced Internet access will create the following networking resources:

    1. A public NAT gateway can be used to easily construct the network address translations for VPC.

    2. An EIP provides independent public IP addresses and bandwidth for Internet access.

    -

    Network

Select a VPC and a subnet.

    -

    NAT Gateway Name

To allow cloud servers to access the Internet and save IP address resources, a high-performance NAT gateway is required to implement the NAT service.

The gateway name can contain only letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-).

    NOTE:

The new gateway can be used only after the VPC subnet route is configured. Learn how to configure.

    -

    NAT Gateway Specifications

    • The NAT gateway specifications refer to the maximum number of supported SNAT connections. .
    • There are four types of specifications: Small, Medium, Large, and xlarge.

    -

    EIP Name

An EIP provides independent public IP addresses and bandwidth for Internet access.

    -

    Public Network Bandwidth

Select a bandwidth billing mode as needed.

    • By bandwidth: You need to specify a bandwidth limit and pay for the amount of time you use the bandwidth. This is applicable to high or stable traffic. The bandwidth ranges from 1 to 280 Mbit/s.
    • By traffic: You need to specify a bandwidth limit and pay for the total traffic you generate. This is applicable to light or sharply fluctuating traffic. The bandwidth ranges from 1 to 260 Mbit/s.

    Enterprise Project

You can use an enterprise project to centrally manage your cloud resources and members by project. Select one as required.
