Disabling Internet Access

Scenario

Cancel the Internet access permission of desktops.

Prerequisites

Economical or enhanced Internet access has been enabled for a desktop.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Workspace console.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Internet Access Management.

    The Internet Access page is displayed.

  3. Select an Internet type to be disabled.

    • If you select Economical, perform 4.
    • If you select Enhanced, perform 5 to 6.

  4. Select a desktop in the desktop list.

    • Disabling Internet access for one desktop:
      1. Click Disable Internet in the Operation column of the desired desktop. The Disable Internet page is displayed.
      2. Select a method for Disable By.
        1. Unbinding only the EIP. After that, the desktop can be bound again.
        2. Unbinding and deleting the EIP. After confirmation, you will be redirected to the EIP management page. Select the EIP to unbind and delete it.
      3. Click OK.
    • Batch disabling Internet access for desktops:
      1. Batch select the desired desktops and click Disable Internet above the list. The Disable Internet page is displayed.
      2. Select a method for Disable By.
        1. Unbinding only the EIP. After that, the desktop can be bound again.
        2. Unbinding and deleting the EIP. After confirmation, you will be redirected to the EIP management page. Select the EIP to unbind and delete it.
      3. Click OK.

  5. Click Disable Internet in the Operation column of the desktop list.

    The Disable Internet page is displayed.

  6. Check the configuration of disabling Internet access.

    1. To disable Internet access, you need only to delete the SNAT rule. Related resources will not be deleted.

    2. Delete related resources that are not in use. Otherwise, certain fees will be generated.

    • To delete an SNAT rule, click Delete >> next to Delete SNAT Rule. In the SNAT rule list, locate the SNAT rule to delete, and click Delete in the Operation column.
    • (Optional) To delete an EIP, click Delete >> next to Delete EIP. On the page displayed, locate the EIP to delete, and choose More > Release in the Operation column.
    • (Optional) To delete a NAT gateway, click Delete >> next to Delete NAT Gateway. On the page displayed, locate the NAT gateway to delete, and choose Operation > Delete in the Operation column.

      Delete related resources that are not in use as required. Otherwise, fees will be generated.
