Managing a Read Replica

Entering the Management Interface Through a Read Replica

  1. Log in to the RDS console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
  3. In the DB instance list, click to expand the DB instance details and click the target read replica name to go to the Summary page.

Deleting a Read Replica

Read replicas with deletion protection enabled cannot be deleted. To delete such read replicas, disable deletion protection first (using an account that has the permission to disable this function).

  1. Log in to the RDS console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
  3. In the DB instance list, click in front of a DB instance, locate the read replica to be deleted, and choose More > Delete in the Operation column.
