DWS_2000000030 Session Usage in a GaussDB(DWS) Cluster Exceeds the Threshold

Alarm Description

This alarm is generated by the DMS alarm module if the session usage in the cluster goes beyond the set threshold within a specific time frame and the suppression conditions are not met. The alarm will be cleared once the session usage in the cluster drops below the threshold.

Impact on the System

The number of available sessions is insufficient, affecting service execution.

Possible Causes

The value of max_connections is too small.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the GaussDB(DWS) console.
  2. On the Alarm page, view the alarms generated in the last seven days.
  3. Choose Dedicated Clusters > Clusters and locate the cluster based on the cluster information in the alarm details.
  4. Click the cluster name to go to the cluster details page. On the cluster details page, click Parameter Modifications, search for max_connections in the search box on the right of the parameter list, and change its value.

Alarm Clearance

This alarm is automatically cleared after the fault is rectified.
