Purchasing PCMC

Procedure

1. Log in to the DSC console.
2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region or project.
3. Choose Privacy Data Management > Privacy Compliance Platform.
4. In the upper right corner of the page, click Buy Privacy Compliance Platform.
5. Configure basic information by referring to Table 1.

   Table 1 Basic settings

   Parameter	Description
   Billing Mode	The yearly/monthly billing mode is supported.
   Region	Select a region from the drop-down list.
   Project	Select a project from the drop-down list.
   Instance Name	Enter an instance name. The instance name can contain only letters, numbers, underscores (_), hyphens (-), and periods (.), and must be 1 to 128 characters long.
   Primary AZ	This parameter is mandatory when Instance Layout is set to On the cloud. Choose a region for the primary AZ. For details, see What Are Regions and AZs?
   Standby AZ	This parameter is mandatory when Instance Layout is set to On the cloud. To enhance cross-AZ DR, choose a different region for the standby AZ.

6. Configure Instance Specifications. Only Professional can be selected.

7. Configure Networking by referring to Table 2.

   Parameter	Description
   VPC	Select a created VPC from the drop-down list. If no VPC is available, create one on the VPC console. For details, see Creating a VPC. Once the instance is created, the VPC cannot be changed. If you need to select another VPC, unsubscribe the instance and purchase again. Click View VPCs to check and manage your VPCs.
   Subnet	Select a created subnet from the drop-down list. If no subnet is available, click Create Subnet to go to the network console to apply for one. For details, see Creating a Subnet. An IP address from this subnet will be assigned to the instance. Ensure the subnet has sufficient available IP addresses. NOTE: Dual-stack IPv6 is not supported.
   Security Group	Select a created security group from the drop-down list. If no security group is available, click Manage Security Groups to apply for one on the console. For details, see Creating a Security Group. To properly use database encryption and access control, add the TCP 8441 inbound rule.
   ELB	Select an ELB from the drop-down list. If no ELB is available, click ELB to purchase one.

8. Configure Login Information.

   Configure the password of the admin user.

   • Password requirements:
     • Length: 8 to 32 characters
     • Characters: The password must contain at least three types of the following: letters, numbers, and special characters (!@$%^-_=+[{}]:,./?~#*).
     • Cannot contain the username or the username spelled backwards.
   • The system cannot obtain the password of the system administrator admin. Keep the account information secure.

9. Configure Required Duration. If you select Auto-renew, your subscription will be automatically renewed when it expires. For details about renewal rules, see Renewal. Click Next to go to the payment confirmation page.
10. Click Next.
11. After the payment is complete, return to the Privacy Compliance Platform page. The instance status in the list is Creating. The creation takes 10 to 20 minutes.
