Managing Parameters
During routine cloud O&M, O&M personnel need to dynamically manage created parameters based on service requirements, system configuration changes, or policy adjustment. You can manage parameter descriptions, parameter values, parameter-associated policies, and tags. You can adjust parameter configurations in a timely manner to align with actual service scenarios. This helps avoid system faults caused by parameter invalidity or improper configurations, while boosting overall O&M efficiency and system stability.
O&M personnel can update parameter information using the parameter management module of COC by following the preset process. This ensures that parameter modifications are synchronized to the service system in real time. You can delete parameters that are no longer used to clear invalid configurations, simplify parameter management, and save system resources. Parameter modification and deletion must comply with O&M specifications and be recorded to avoid misoperations that affect service continuity.
Precautions
If the time for a parameter modification notification is a relative time, note the following:
- Notification for no parameter modifications: If a notification is required when no modification is made for a parameter, the time when such a notification is sent is a relative modification time (time when the Modify button is clicked). The notification time changes as long as the Modify button is clicked.
- Pre-deletion notifications: If you change the deletion time, the pre-deletion notification time will also be changed.
Modifying a Parameter
The modification operation is irreversible. Check whether the modification will affect services before you modify the parameter.
- Log in to COC.
- In the navigation pane, choose Resource O&M > Automated O&M.
- In the Routine O&M area, click Parameter Center. The Parameter Center page is displayed.
- Locate the parameter you want to review and click Modify in the Operation column.
- Configure the basic information.
- Parameter Description: This parameter is optional. Describe the input parameters.
- Parameter Value: Enter the parameter value.
- (Optional) Modify the parameter policy by referring to Table 1.

Description
Expired Delete
Once enabled, you can set the deletion time for a parameter. The parameter will be automatically deleted when it expires.
Deletion Time
This parameter is mandatory when Expired Delete is enabled. The options are Absolute Time and Relative Time.
- Absolute Time: Select a date and time.
- Relative Time: Enter the expiration time. The unit can be hours or days.
Pre-Deletion Notification
This parameter is mandatory when Expired Delete is enabled.
(Optional) Set the pre-deletion notification time. The system notifies you of the deletion at the specified time based on the Notification Mode and Recipient. You can add a maximum of two notifications.
Unmodified Notification
(Optional) You can set the notification time. If the parameter is not modified at the specified time, the system will notify you based on the chosen notification channel and time. A maximum of two notifications can be set.
Notification Mode
This parameter is required when you add pre-deletion or unmodified notifications. Select a notification channel from the drop-down list. Notify the recipients based on their reserved information. For details, see Modifying Personnel Information.
Rules for pre-deletion and unmodified notifications:- The pre-deletion notification time must be earlier than the time of deletion upon expiration.
- The pre-deletion notification time must be later than the parameter creation or modification time.
- The unmodified notification time cannot be earlier than the parameter creation or modification time.
- If there is a policy for deleting the parameter upon expiration, the unmodified notification time cannot be later than the time of deletion upon expiration.
Recipient
This parameter is required when you add pre-deletion or unmodified notifications. Select a recipient from the drop-down list. For details about how to configure a recipient, see Personnel Management.
- (Optional) Modify the created tag or click Add Tag.
- The tag key can contain only digits, letters, and the following special characters: _-.:/=+@. There can be 1 to 128 characters.
- The tag value can contain only digits, letters, and these special characters: _-.:/=+@. There can be 1 to 256 characters.
- Click OK. The confirmation dialog box is displayed.
- In the displayed dialog box, click OK. The parameter is modified.
Deleting a Parameter
Deleted parameters cannot be restored.
- Log in to COC.
- In the navigation pane, choose Resource O&M > Automated O&M.
- In the Routine O&M area, click Parameter Center. The Parameter Center page is displayed.
- Locate the parameter you want to delete and click Delete in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, click OK. The parameter is deleted.
After the parameter is deleted, it is not displayed in the parameter list.
