Permissions Management
-
SMS allows you to use IAM to implement fine-grained permissions control on your SMS resources. With IAM, you can:
- Create IAM users for employees based on the organizational structure of your enterprise. Each IAM user is assigned their own unique credentials for SMS.
- Assign different permissions for IAM users based on the principle of least privilege (PoLP).
- Entrust a HUAWEI CLOUD account or cloud service to perform professional and efficient O&M on your SMS resources.

Enterprise Project
-
SMS allows you to migrate servers to a specific enterprise project. For more information about enterprise project management, see What Is Enterprise Project Management Service?
If your account has enabled the enterprise project function, when you enter the AK/SK during the Agent startup, the Agent queries and lists the enterprise projects assigned with SMS permissions for you to select. After you select an enterprise project, SMS migrates servers to the enterprise project you select. This enables you to isolate permissions, resources, and finance during migration.

Continuous Synchronization
-
You can determine whether to let SMS execute a continuous synchronization after the full migration is complete.
- If you choose not to execute a continuous synchronization after the full replication, SMS will not perform a continuous synchronization and will automatically launch the target server. To synchronize incremental data, you can click Start in the Operation column.
- If you choose to execute a continuous synchronization after the full replication, SMS will perform a continuous synchronization. To complete the migration, you need to manually launch or clone the target server.

Deleting an EVS Disk Snapshot
-
SMS creates snapshots for EVS disks on each target server during the full replication, incremental synchronization, and target server cloning. For EVS disks in DSS storage pools, snapshots take up the same amount of space in the pool as the disks.

Unlocking a Target Server
-
During the migration, the target server is automatically locked to ensure successful migration. After the migration succeeds, the target server is automatically unlocked. However, the target server may fail to be unlocked for some reasons. If the unlock fails due to permissions, network, or other issues, you can manually unlock the target server.
