Overview
SecMaster automatically discovers and manages all assets on and off our cloud and displays the real-time security status of your assets.
- Cloud assets: assets on our cloud, for example, Elastic Cloud Server (ECS), Web Application Firewall (WAF), Relational Database Service (RDS), Elastic IP (EIP), and Virtual Private Cloud (VPC).
- Off-cloud assets: assets outside our cloud, for example, on-premises servers, IDC servers, or servers on third-party cloud platforms.
On the Resource Manager page, you can view the security status statistics of all resources under your account. This helps you quickly locate security risks and find solutions.
Managing Assets on Our Cloud
- Configuring the Asset Subscription: You can let SecMaster automatically synchronize information about assets on our cloud.
- Viewing Asset Information: You can view the asset name, type, protection status, and other details.
- Importing and Exporting Assets: You can import or export asset information.
Managing Assets Outside Our Cloud
- Viewing Asset Information: You can view the asset name, type, protection status, and other details.
- Importing and Exporting Assets: You can import or export asset information.
- Editing or Deleting an Asset: You can edit the department, service system, and owner of an asset. If you no longer need to display the information about one or more imported assets on SecMaster Resource Manager page, delete the imported assets from SecMaster. Only assets outside our cloud can be edited or deleted.
Differences Between Assets on Our Cloud and Assets Outside our Cloud
- For assets on our cloud, you can use asset subscription to quickly synchronize assets information to SecMaster. For assets outside our cloud, they can only be imported into SecMaster for management.
- For assets on our cloud, their information in SecMaster cannot be edited or deleted. While, you can edit or delete information about assets outside our cloud.

After the asset information is synchronized to SecMaster, the protection status of assets will be displayed on the SecMaster console. The protection status is as follows:

Limitations and Constraints
After asset subscription, you can click System Synchronize Assets on the Resource Manager page to synchronize asset information again. The basic edition allows you to synchronize assets one time per day, and the standard or professional edition allows you to synchronize assets 20 times per day. If you exceed this threshold, the system displays error message "Insufficient resource synchronization quota." In this case, synchronize assets again the next day.
