Migration Drill

Migration drills help you fully assess the feasibility and identify potential risks of a migration task beforehand. The system verifies if security group ports are set correctly, domains connect normally, and necessary permissions are available. If issues are identified, the system offer fixes to minimize risks and disruptions during migration.

Enable Concurrency

You can set the maximum number of processes that the SMS-Agent can start concurrently (1 to 4) when migrating and synchronizing files of a Linux source server. However, the number of process that can actually be started depends on how well the source server performs and how many disks and partitions the source server has.

New SMS console

  • Migration Template: A migration template defines the migration network type, migration rate limit, whether to enable continuous synchronization, and region and project. You can use a template to quickly configure migration tasks.
  • Server Template: A server template defines the target server VPC, subnet, and security group. You can use a template to quickly configure target servers with the same settings.
