Pausing an Application
Scenarios
If you do not need to use AI applications during routine development, you can pause them. Once an application is paused, it no longer provides services, including its dashboard features and API key-based API calls.
Prerequisites
- You have registered a Huawei ID and enabled Huawei Cloud services.
- You can create an IAM user and user group on the IAM console and grant the user specific operation permissions, to perform refined management on Huawei Cloud. For details, see Using IAM Roles or Policies to Grant Access to RDS.
- You must use a login account assigned the rds:aiApplication:stop and rds:aiApplication:list actions.
Constraints
- Pausing an AI application does not stop its hosted instance. The instance will continue to be billed.
- During the application pause, its features are unavailable. Perform this operation during off-peak hours to avoid affecting peak-time workloads.
Procedure
- Log in to the RDS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region. - In the navigation pane, choose AI App Dev Platform.
- On the AI App Dev Platform page, locate the target AI application and choose More > Pause in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, enter YES and click OK to pause the AI application. Figure 1 Pausing the RDS Supabase application
- Refresh the AI application list later and check the pause result. If the application status is Stopped, the AI application is paused.
