Applying for a Private Domain Name

You can use a private network domain name to connect to an instance.

Constraints

After a private domain name is generated, modifications to the private IP address will interrupt database connections. Exercise caution when deciding to modify the private IP address.

You need to contact customer service to apply for the permission of using private domain names.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the management console.
  2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region and a project.
  3. Click in the upper left corner of the page, choose Databases > GaussDB(for MySQL).
  4. On the Instances page, click the instance name to go to the Basic Information page.
  5. In the Network Information area on the Basic Information page, click Apply in the Private Domain Name field.
  6. In the Private Domain Name field, view the generated private domain name.
