Sharing enterprise routers

Integration with Resource Access Manager (RAM) allows you to share enterprise routers in your accounts with other accounts. After you share an enterprise router with other accounts, the principals can attach their network instances to your enterprise router, so that their network instances can access your enterprise router.

Setting up a hybrid cloud network using Enterprise Router and Direct Connect

You can use Enterprise Router and Direct Connect global DC gateways to set up a hybrid cloud network. Enterprise Router enables dynamic route selection and automatic switchover between Direct Connect connections that work in active/standby mode. When the active connection becomes faulty, the standby connection automatically takes over, which reduces the risk of service interruptions.

2

Using Enterprise Router to migrate a network set up over a cloud connection

Before Enterprise Router was launched, you could use a cloud connection to connect VPCs in different regions. To improve the scalability of the cross-region network and simplify the maintenance, you can use Enterprise Router and a central network to migrate the network.

1

Setting up a hybrid cloud network using Enterprise Router, Direct Connect, and VPN

To ensure high reliability of the hybrid cloud network and reduce costs, you can use Enterprise Router, Direct Connect, and VPN to connect your on-premises data center to the cloud and use VPN to back up Direct Connect. If a Direct Connect connection becomes faulty, VPN automatically takes over, so there are no service interruptions.

Setting up a hybrid cloud network using Enterprise Router and Direct Connect

You can use Enterprise Router and Direct Connect global DC gateways to set up a hybrid cloud network. Enterprise Router enables dynamic route selection and automatic switchover between Direct Connect connections that work in load balancing mode. This ensures high reliability and improves network performance by maximizing the bandwidth and increasing network throughput.

Enterprise router

An enterprise router is a central router that interconnects all of your VPCs and on-premises networks. Enterprise routers use the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) to learn routes, dynamically select, or switch between connections, thereby significantly improving network scalability and O&M efficiency and ensuring the service continuity.
