Viewing Monitoring Metrics

Cloud Eye monitors the statuses of VOD domain names. You can view VOD metrics on the management console.

Prerequisites

To use Cloud Eye to monitor your VOD resources, submit a service ticket.

Adding a Graph

Add a graph to monitor VOD.

  1. Log in to Huawei Cloud console. Choose Service List > Management & Governance > Cloud Eye.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the console and select AP-Singapore or CN North-Beijing4.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose My Dashboards > Custom Dashboards.
  4. Click Create Dashboard in the upper right corner. The Create Dashboard dialog box is displayed.

    Configure the following parameters:

    • Name: VOD dashboard name, for example, VOD-Domain.
    • Enterprise Project: Select an enterprise project. The default value is default.

  5. Click OK. The dashboard details page is displayed.
  6. Choose Create > Create Graph and configure graph parameters. For details, see Adding a Graph.

    You can add all VOD monitoring metrics to the same monitoring graph.

  7. Click Finish. The graph is added.

Viewing Monitoring Metrics

View the total traffic, total access requests, and status codes of a domain name.

  1. Log in to Huawei Cloud console. Choose Service List > Management & Governance > Cloud Eye.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the console and select AP-Singapore or CN North-Beijing4.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Cloud Service Monitoring.
  4. Choose VOD. The page of cloud service monitoring details is displayed.
  5. On the Resources tab, click View Metric in the Operation column of the desired domain name.

    You can view the total traffic, total access requests, and status codes of the domain name.
