Creating an Alarm Rule

You can configure alarm rules to customize monitored objects and notification policies, so that you can stay informed about domain name statuses.

Prerequisites

To use Cloud Eye to monitor your VOD resources, submit a service ticket.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Huawei Cloud console. Choose Service List > Management & Governance > Cloud Eye.
  2. Click in the upper left corner of the console and select AP-Singapore or CN North-Beijing4.
  3. In the navigation pane, choose Alarm Management > Alarm Rules.
  4. In the upper right corner of the page, click Create Alarm Rule.
  5. Configure the parameters as prompted.

    For more information, see Creating an Alarm Rule. The key parameters are as follows:

    • Name: The system generates a random name, and you can change it if needed.
    • Alarm Type: Select Metric.
    • Cloud Product: Select VOD - Domain.
    • Resource Level: Select Specific dimension.
    • Monitoring Scope: Select All resources, Resource groups, or Specific resources.

  6. Click Create.

    After the alarm rule is created, the system automatically notifies you when an alarm is triggered.
