Deleting an Application
Scenarios
You can delete applications on the RDS AI App Dev Platform page to release resources.
Prerequisites
- Sign up for a Huawei Cloud account.
- If you need fine-grained management of resources on Huawei Cloud, use Identity and Access Management (IAM) to create IAM users and user groups, and grant them specific permissions so that the IAM users can obtain required permissions. For details, see Using IAM Roles or Policies to Grant Access to RDS.
- You must use a login account assigned the rds:aiApplication:delete and rds:aiApplication:list actions.
Precautions
- When deleting a Supabase application that hosts a DB instance, you can choose whether to retain, delete, or unsubscribe from the instance as required.
- If the hosted instance uses pay-per-use billing, you can delete it along with the application.
- If the hosted instance is billed on a yearly/monthly basis, you can unsubscribe from it along with the application.
- Deleting a Supabase application does not delete the databases (supabase_db and _supabase), tables, preset accounts, and runtime data created on the hosted instance.
- Deleting a Supabase application does not delete file data in the Huawei Cloud OBS bucket connected to Storage. Retain or manually clean up data based on your business needs.
Constraints
- Applications cannot be deleted when operations are being performed on them. They can be deleted only after the operations are complete.
- Instances that have deletion or unsubscription protection enabled cannot be deleted. To delete or unsubscribe from such an instance, disable deletion protection first (using an account with permission to disable deletion protection).
- Instances cannot be deleted when operations are being performed on them. They can be deleted only after the operations are complete.
- After a DB instance is deleted, its resources are released immediately. Exercise caution when performing this operation. If you want to retain data, create a manual backup first before deleting a DB instance.
- You can rebuild a DB instance that was deleted up to 7 days ago from the recycle bin.
- After an application is deleted, no backup is performed and the application cannot be restored from the recycle bin. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
Procedure
- Log in to the RDS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner and select a region. - In the navigation pane, choose AI App Dev Platform.
- On the AI App Dev Platform page, locate the target AI application and choose More > Delete in the Operation column.
- In the displayed dialog box, enter YES and click OK to delete the AI application. Figure 1 Deleting the RDS Supabase application
To delete or unsubscribe from the hosted instance at the same time, select Delete Managed RDS Instance.
- Refresh the AI application list later and check the deletion result. If the application does not appear in the list, the deletion task has been successfully delivered.
