Enterprise Edition Instance Management
Modifying Information About an Enterprise Edition Instance
You can customize parameters like the instance name and description for an enterprise edition instance.
- Access the IoTDA service page and click Access Console.
- In the navigation pane, choose IoTDA Instances and click Details under Enterprise Edition.
- Change the instance parameters.
Click
next to the instance name to change the instance name. The instance name can contain letters, numbers, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). A maximum of 64 characters are allowed.

Configuring Public Access for the Enterprise Edition
You can access the IoT platform over public networks, private networks, and Direct Connect.
To access an IoT instance over a public network, you can configure public access to this instance. The default public access bandwidth is 50 Mbit/s, and no additional fee is required. If you need to increase the bandwidth, submit a service ticket.
- Access the IoTDA service page and click Access Console.
- In the navigation pane, choose IoTDA Instances and click Details under Enterprise Edition.
- Click Configure Public Network Access (Public Network) to configure a public network access address for the application or device and click OK. The platform automatically generates a public network IP address. Figure 2 Instance management - Configuring public network access
Configuring Direct Connect for the Enterprise Edition
If you already have a local data center (such as a device access gateway or application server), you can use Direct Connect to establish a dedicated connection between the local data center and the VPC of the IoTDA enterprise edition. This provides a secure and reliable connection channel, helping you quickly migrate data to the cloud. The service process is shown in the following figure.
- Set up a channel between the local data center and Huawei Cloud VPC. For details, see Direct Connect.
- Use Direct Connect to access the private network access address provided by the platform.
Configuring the Access Information
You can configure access domain names and server certificates for your enterprise edition instances.
- Access the IoTDA service page and click Access Console.
- In the navigation pane, choose IoTDA Instances and click Details under Enterprise Edition.
- Click No Configuration in the Access Domain Name column to configure the domain name for the application and IoTDA. You need to add a DNS record with your domain registrar to point your domain to the public IP address. Figure 4 Instance management - Configuring an access domain name
- Click
to update the certificate to a custom server certificate. Self-signed certificates have security risks. You are advised to use Cloud Certificate & Manager to purchase certificates or purchase certificates issued by other authoritative organizations. After the certificate is updated, you can use a browser to access the public IP address or use a third-party tool to check whether the certificate is successfully updated. Figure 5 Instance management - Updating a certificate
- For enterprise edition instances supporting SM series cryptographic algorithms, MQTTS enables configuration of custom signature and encryption certificates using these algorithms. Both certificates must share the same CA.
- Updating the certificate may cause verification failures, preventing existing devices or applications from accessing the IoT platform. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
Enabling Public Network Forwarding
IoTDA enterprise edition enhances data security by disabling public network data forwarding by default. You can manually activate this feature when required.
Procedure
- Access the IoTDA service page and click Access Console.
- In the navigation pane, choose IoTDA Instances and click Details under Enterprise Edition.
- Turn on public network forwarding. Once activated, this feature cannot be turned off. Confirm by clicking OK.
If a message is displayed indicating that you do not have the required permissions, check whether you have the iotda:instance:update permission by referring to Permissions and Supported Actions.
