Bills
You can view the resource usage and bills for different billing cycles on the Bills page in the Billing Center.
Bill Generation
Transaction records for yearly/monthly subscriptions are generated immediately after being paid for.
A pay-per-use resource is billed by the hour, day, or month, depending on the resource's usage type. The EIP usage is billed by the hour. For details, see Bill Run for Pay-per-Use Resources.
You are not charged immediately after a record is generated. For example, if a pay-per-use EIP (which is billed on an hourly basis) is deleted at 08:30, you will still have expenditures for the 08:00 to 09:00 hour. However, you will not likely be billed for the 08:00 to 09:00 hour until about 10:00. In the Billing Center, choose Billing > Expenditure Items in the left navigation pane, Expenditure Time in the bill indicates the time when the pay-per-use resource is used.
Viewing Bills of a Specific Resource (EIP)
[Example 1: Use the resource ID to search for the bill. The resource ID is the same as that in the bill.]
- Log in to the console and choose Networking > Elastic IP.
The EIP list is displayed.
- Obtain the EIP ID or the bandwidth ID.
- To view the bill of an EIP, obtain the EIP ID.
- To view the bill of a fixed bandwidth, obtain the bandwidth ID.
- Click the target EIP. On the page providing details about the EIP, click the Bandwidth tab.
- Click the icon shown in the figure below to copy the bandwidth ID.
Figure 2 Obtaining the bandwidth ID
- On the top menu bar, choose Billing > Bills.
The Dashboard page is displayed.
- On the Bill Details tab, select Resource ID as the filter criteria, enter the copied resource ID, and click the
icon.
Figure 3 Searching for a billBy default, bill details are displayed by usage and billing cycle. You can also select other statistical dimensions or periods. For details, see Bills.
[Example 2: Use the resource name to search for a bill.]
- Log in to the console and choose Networking > Elastic IP.
The EIP list is displayed.
- Obtain the EIP or the bandwidth name.
- To view the bill of an EIP, obtain the EIP name.
- To view the bill of a fixed bandwidth, obtain the bandwidth name.
- Click the target EIP. On the page providing details about the EIP, click the Bandwidth tab.
- Click the icon shown in the figure below to copy the bandwidth name.
Figure 5 Obtaining the bandwidth name
- On the top menu bar, choose Billing > Bills.
The Dashboard page is displayed.
- On the Bill Details tab, select Resource Name as the filter criteria, enter the obtained resource name, and click the
icon.
Figure 6 Searching for a transactionFor details, see Bills.
Checking the Consistency of the Actual Usage and Billed Usage
Assume that you purchased an EIP billed by bandwidth of 4 Mbit/s at 8:23:10 on April 18, 2023 and released it that day, at 09:23:10.
- Bandwidth transaction bills
Pay-per-use EIP billed by bandwidth is calculated by the second but billed on an hourly basis. You can check the transaction records against the actual usage. For details, see Table 1.

Expenditure Time
For the period of time from 08:23:10 to 09:23:10 on April 18, 2023, 2 transaction records were generated for the resource usage in the following periods:
- 2023/04/18 08:23:10 - 2023/04/18 09:00:00
- 2023/04/18 09:00:00 - 2023/04/18 09:23:10
List Price
List price on the official website = Usage x Unit price
The bandwidth of 4 Mbit/s was used for 2,210 seconds in the first period, and the unit price was $0.01 USD/Mbit/s/hour. The list price for the first period = (2210 ÷ 3600) x 0.01 x 4 = $0.02455555 USD. Similarly, you can calculate the EIP list price for the other periods.
Discounted Amount
Discounts offered for cloud services, for example, commercial discounts, partner authorized discounts, and promotional discounts. It is the discounted amount based on the list price.
Truncated Amount
Huawei Cloud billing is calculated to the 8th decimal place. However, the amount due is truncated to the 2nd decimal place. The third and later decimal places are referred to as the truncated amounts.
Take the first period as an example. The truncated amount is $0.00455555 USD.
Amount Due
Amount due = List price – Discount amount – Truncated amount
Take the first period as an example. If the discount amount is 0, the amount due is $0.02 USD (0.02455555 - 0 - 0.00455555).
- Bandwidth bill details
Bill details can be displayed in multiple ways. By default, the bill details of a resource are displayed by usage and by billing cycle. Table 2 illustrates the bandwidth bill details, which can be used to check against the actual usage.

Unit Price
When pay-per-use billing is used, the unit price is only provided if the amount is equal to the usage multiplied by the unit price. No unit price is provided in other pricing modes, for example, tiered pricing. You can search for the bandwidth price in tiered pricing mode on the EIP Pricing Details page.
Unit
Displayed on the EIP Pricing Details page. Example: USD/Mbit/s/hour
Usage
Depends on the unit of the unit price, which, for an EIP, is USD/Mbit/s/hour. EIP usage is billed by the hour. Example: 1 hour
Usage Unit
Hour
List Price
List price on the official website = Usage x Unit price x Bandwidth size
The bandwidth of 4 Mbit/s is used for 1 hour in total, and the unit price is $0.01 USD/Mbit/s/hour. The list price = 1 x 0.01 x 4 = $0.04000000 USD. Similarly, you can calculate the EIP list price for the other periods.
Discounted Amount
Discounts offered for cloud services, for example, commercial discounts, partner authorized discounts, and promotional discounts. It is the discounted amount based on the list price.
Amount Due
Amount that should be paid for used cloud services after discounts are applied.
