Function Overview

MgC allows you to use IAM to implement fine-grained permissions control on your MgC resources. With IAM, you can:

• Create IAM users for employees based on the organizational structure of your enterprise. Each IAM user has their own security credentials for accessing MgC resources.
• Grant users only the permissions required to perform a given task based on their job responsibilities.
• Entrust a Huawei Cloud account or cloud service to perform professional and efficient O&M on your MgC resources.

MgC allows you to compare the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of your source environment with what it would be for running on Huawei Cloud by automatically analyzing the source bills and the prices of mapped target resources.

You can view the dependencies of discovered applications by checking their technical architectures and service dependency maps, so that you can plan migration waves and solutions.

MgC collects information about various types of resources, including cloud platforms, servers, databases, containers, big data, and middleware. Based on the collected information, MgC recommends right-sized Huawei Cloud resources and migration strategies for you.

MgC recommendations for most suitable Huawei Cloud resources based on the specifications, performance data, scenarios of the source resources added to the application, and your other requirements on, for example, cost, availability, performance, security, and compliance. You can export the assessment results as needed.

MgC provides built-in migration workflow templates summarized from best practices. You can use these templates to create migration workflows for different migration scenarios. You can customize a workflow by inserting customized tasks and scripts to it.
