How Do I Log In to My ECS?

Scenarios

After an ECS is created, you can log in to the ECS and deploy websites or applications on it. Before logging in to an ECS, you need to establish a connection between the local device and the ECS. The connection method depends on the ECS OS and the tool used by the local device.

This section describes the login entry points and login methods of Windows and Linux ECSs. You can select an appropriate method to log in to an ECS as needed.

Login Entry Points

In the ECS list, you can click Remote Login in the Operation column to access the ECS login wizard.

This login entry point is used to log in to an ECS from the management console. For example:

  • Windows ECS: Login using an RDP file or VNC
  • Linux ECS: Login using CloudShell or VNC

If you want to use other remote login tools or methods, see Login Methods for details.

Follow-up Procedure

  • If you have added a data disk during ECS creation, you must initialize the data disk after logging in to the ECS.

    For details, see Initialization Overview.

  • Certain ECSs require the installation of a driver after you log in to them. For details about available ECS types and functions, see ECS Types. For details about constraints on using different types of ECSs, see their notes.
