Importing Discovery Results

You can use offline collectors to discover your resources and applications and collect their details, and import the collected details to MgC for automated application dependency analysis.

Prerequisites

You have created collection tasks using offline collectors and have obtained the collection results.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select an application migration project from the drop-down list.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Discover > Source Resources.
  3. Click the Import tab. Then click the Import card.

  4. Click the Collected data option, click Select File, and upload the collection result file in JSON format.

  5. After the upload is successful, click Confirm. The Task Center page is displayed. The system automatically starts extracting resource details from the uploaded file.

    • If the task status is Succeeded, you can go to the Applications page to view the import results.
    • If the task status is Failed, click the task name to view the data source that failed to be collected. You can move the cursor to the collection status to view the failure cause. After handling the failure cause, import the file again.
