Importing Application Associations
You can import application details obtained from the configuration management database in your source environment to MgC. Once imported, MgC will analyze these details to identify application dependencies and associations.
Procedure
- Sign in to the MgC console. In the navigation pane, under Project, select an application migration project from the drop-down list.
- In the navigation pane, choose Discover > Source Resources.
- Click the Import tab. Then click the Import card.

- Populate the template with your application details and save the file. In the file, fields highlighted in yellow are mandatory. Then click Select File to upload the saved file to MgC.
- After the upload is successful, click Confirm. The Task Center page is displayed. The system automatically starts extracting resource details from the uploaded file.
- If the task status is Succeeded, you can go to the Applications page to view the import results.
- If the task status is Failed, click the task name to view the data source that failed to be collected. You can move the cursor to the collection status to view the failure cause. After handling the failure cause, import the file again.
