License Management

A license controls software usage permissions and ensures lawful use. It typically includes authorization information, validity period, scope of authorization, and usage restrictions.

Consequences of expiration: After the license expires, the software may become non-functional, with some features restricted, and could even lead to data loss or security risks. Additionally, the system may fail to receive timely updates of the latest vulnerability patches and system versions, resulting in diminished security capabilities.

How to obtain: Contact the software supplier.

Updating License File

  1. Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator sysadmin account.
  2. In the left navigation bar, select System Management > License Management to enter the interface.
  3. Click Update authorization file, select the file, then click Confirm to import and wait for completion.
