What Types of Storage Does RDS Use?

RDS uses Elastic Volume Service (EVS) disks for storage. For details, see Elastic Volume Service Service Overview.

RDS backup data is stored in OBS and does not occupy the storage space of your instance. For details on the RDS instance storage configuration, see the Object Storage Service User Guide.
