Importing and Exporting Assets

Scenarios

You can import assets outside the cloud into SecMaster and check their security statuses on SecMaster. You can also export asset information, including information about assets on and off the cloud.

This section describes how to import and export assets.

Prerequisites

You have purchased the SecMaster standard or professional edition.

Notes and Constraints

• Only files in .xlsx can be imported. Each time you can import a file no larger than 5 MB with a maximum of 100 records.
• A maximum of 9,999 resource records can be exported.

Importing Assets

1. Log in to the SecMaster console.
2. Click in the upper left corner of the management console and select a region or project.
3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Workspaces > Management. In the workspace list, click the name of the target workspace.

4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Resource Manager > Resource Manager.

5. On the Resource Manager page, click the tab corresponding to target assets. For example, if you want to import servers, click the Servers tab. If you want to import department or service system information, click the Service Systems & Departments tab.
6. Import information about assets, departments, and service systems based on your needs.
   • To import asset information, click Import in the upper left corner of the asset list.
   • To import department information, click under Departments.
   • To import service system information, click Import under Service System.

7. Download the template and fill in the information to be imported based on the template requirements.
   • Asset information import: In the Import dialog box, click Download Template. Then, fill in the template with the required asset information.
   • Department information import: In the Import dialog box, click Download Template. Then, fill in the template with the required department information.
   • Service system information import: In the import dialog box, click Download Template. Then, fill in the template with the required service system.

8. After the template is completed, click Select File in the Import dialog box and select the EXCEL file you want to import.
9. Click OK.
10. After the import is complete, choose Resource Manager > Resource Manager in the navigation pane on the left. On the displayed page, click the asset tab corresponding to the type of imported assets, and check the imported assets.

Exporting Assets

1. Log in to the SecMaster console.
2. Click in the upper left corner of the management console and select a region or project.
3. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Workspaces > Management. In the workspace list, click the name of the target workspace.

4. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Resource Manager > Resource Manager.

5. On the Resource Manager page, click the corresponding resource type tab. For example, if you want to export information about servers, click the Servers tab.
6. Export information about assets, departments, and service systems based on your needs.
   • To export asset information, select the assets to be exported on the corresponding asset page and click Export above the asset list.
   • To export department information, click the Service Systems & Departments tab and click next to the department to be exported.
   • To export service system information, click the Service Systems & Departments tab, select the target service system, and click Export above the list.

7. In the Export dialog box, set asset parameters.

   Parameter	Description
   Format	By default, the asset list is exported into an EXCEL file.
   Columns	Select the parameters that you want to include in the exported file.

8. Click OK.

   The system automatically downloads the EXCEL file to your local PC.
