Creating an OU

Procedure

1. Log in to Huawei Cloud as the organization administrator or using the management account, navigate to the Organizations console, and access the Organization page.
2. Select the parent OU by clicking its name rather than the expand icon. If you are creating an OU for the first name, select the Root OU.

   OUs can be nested up to five levels deep. Each OU can have only one parent OU but can have many child OUs. When creating an OU, ensure that the parent OU you select is the upper-level one.

3. Choose Add > Add Organizational Unit.

4. In the displayed dialog box, enter the OU name. The OU name can contain a maximum of 64 characters. Only letters, digits, spaces, hyphens (-), and underscores (_) are allowed.
5. (Optional) Add a tag to the OU.

   A tag consists of a key-value pair. Tags are used to identify, classify, and search for OUs. A maximum of 20 tags can be added to an OU.

   Table 1 describes the key and value descriptions of a tag.

   Tag key	A tag key of an OU must be unique. You can create a custom key or select a key of an existing tag created in Tag Management Service (TMS). A tag key: Cannot be an empty string. 6. Click OK.

   If the names and hierarchy levels of the created OUs and child OUs match expectations, the OUs have been created successfully.
