What Is a Launch Template?

A launch template contains the configuration information required for creating ECSs, including the billing mode, region, AZ, specifications, OS, system disk, data disk, network, and key pair.

You can create multiple launch templates and configure different parameters for each template.

A launch template cannot be modified once it is created. You can create multiple launch templates and configure different parameters for each template.
