Batch Restarting Instances on COC

During routine O&M, if a large number of cloud instances need to be restarted to update the system or rectify faults, manually restarting them one by one is time-consuming and error-prone. To address this challenge, COC delivers the function of batch instance restart. With the batch restart function, you can restart instances one by one or in batches. This improves O&M efficiency and reduces manual misoperations with services not affected. With the batch restart function of COC, you can plan the restart time window to efficiently manage cloud instances.

Precautions

  • You can perform this operation only when the selected instances are running or restarting.
  • If any service ticket (for example, an instance restart service ticket) is being executed on the selected instance, the current operation cannot be performed. Wait until the existing service ticket is complete and try again.

Batch Restarting Instances

COC provides you with the function of restarting ECSs, RDS DB instances, FlexusL instances, and BMSs in batches. You can restart instances one by one or in batches.

  1. Log in to COC.
  2. In the navigation pane, choose Resource O&M > Batch Resource Operations.
  3. Access the Elastic Cloud Server (ECS) tab page, click Restart ECSs. The ECS restart page is displayed.
  4. Click Add and select the target instances.
