Updating Pre-installed Applications

Procedure

  1. Install applications of new versions on a cloud phone by referring to Installing Applications on a Cloud Phone.
  2. Start the applications to update resource files.
  3. Generate TAR packages for the applications and push them to an OBS bucket. For details, see Generating a TAR Package for an Application and Pushing It to an OBS Bucket.
  4. Push the TAR packages to the shared space of the cloud phone server and set pre_install_app to 1. For details, see Pushing the TAR Package of an Application to the Shared Space.
  5. Restart or reset the cloud phones to allow automatic update of the pre-installed application.

Updating pre-installed applications will increase the time it takes to reset or restart your cloud phones.
