Executing the Configuration Script

Scenarios

Use a script to automatically deploy the software required by an image.

Procedure

  1. On the ECS, open this PC and double-click the CD-ROM Drive (X).
  2. Double-click to access the Workspace_HDP_WindowsDesktop_Installer directory.
  3. Double-click the run_automation script to configure the ECS. In the displayed dialog box, click Yes.

After the execution, you can set your own administrator account and password. The ECS then automatically restarts. After the restart, you need to log in to the VM using the administrator account.

  4. After you log in to the ECS using the administrator account, the script automatically runs. Wait for the script execution result.
  5. After the task is executed, perform operations based on the execution result.

    • If "SUCCESS" is displayed for all tasks, as shown in the following figure, all tasks are successfully executed. Press Enter to finish the task.

During the script execution, if the script freezes or no output is displayed for a long time, press Enter to continue.

      Figure 1 Execution successful
    • If some tasks fail to be executed, the task names are displayed in red and the execution result of the failed tasks is "FAILED".

Record the tasks that fail to be executed. Perform the corresponding configurations by referring to Table 1. For details, see Manually Configuring an ECS.
