Match Preview

After running the sensitive data discovery rule, if you have questions about the discovery results for a specific field, you can click Match Preview to view 10 sample data records and verify whether the discovery rule is valid.

Constraints and Limitations

Not all Match Preview items can be clicked; only those with sensitive data fields can be clicked.

Procedure

  1. For a specific data field (as shown in Figure 1), click Match Preview.

  2. After clicking Match Preview, the results are displayed as follows; to ensure data security, the displayed data has been anonymized, as shown in Figure 2.

    • Matching data: Sample data that meets the discovery rules.
    • Non-matching data: Sample data that does not conform to the discovery rules.

Associative Operation

When a data column is not marked as a sensitive data field but you still wish to sample and preview a small subset of the data, you can temporarily assign this field to any sensitive data type. In this case, the Match Preview feature can be activated to display a small sample of the data; the display effect is shown in Figure 3. All data is desensitized and displayed in the Unmatching data column.
