License Management
A License is used to control the usage rights of software, ensuring its lawful use. It typically contains information such as authorization details, validity period, scope of authorization, and usage restrictions.
Consequences of license expiration: When a license expires, the software may no longer function properly, certain features may be restricted, or data loss or security risks may occur. Additionally, the system may be unable to receive timely updates for the latest vulnerability patches or system version upgrades, which will consequently compromise the system's security posture.

The certificate file format is: xxx.dat.
Update Authorization Document
- Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator (sysadmin) account.
- In the left navigation tree, select Systems Management > License Management.
- Click Update Authorization File, select the file, then click Confirm to proceed with the import; wait until the process is completed, as shown in Figure 1.
