Overview

In this section, you will learn about how Workspace instances are billed, how you can renew subscriptions and manage costs, and what happens if your account goes into arrears.

Billing Modes

Workspace supports two billing modes: yearly/monthly and pay-per-use.

  • Yearly/Monthly: You pay upfront for the amount of time you expect to use the graph instance for. You will need to make sure you have a top-up account with a sufficient balance or have a valid payment method configured first.
  • Pay-per-use: This is a pay-as-you-go service, meaning you are billed only for what you use. Billing is based on the running duration of your cloud desktop, which starts automatically upon creation. You can create or delete cloud desktops at any time.

For details about the two billing modes, see Billing Mode Overview.

Billing Items

Workspace billing items include compute resources (vCPUs and memory), storage resources (system disks and data disks), and network resources.

Renewal

Your yearly/monthly cloud desktop will stop functioning once your subscription expires. If you want to continue using the desktop, you need to renew your subscription within the specified period. Otherwise, resources such as vCPUs, memory, and EVS disks will be automatically released, and data loss may occur. You can renew your subscription manually or automatically by referring to Renewal.

Bills

You can choose Billing > Bills in the upper right corner of the Workspace console to view the transactions and bills of Workspace in Billing Center.

Arrears

If your account balance is insufficient to pay your amount due, your account will go into arrears. If you want to continue using your cloud services, you will need to update your payment method or to top up your account in a timely manner. For details, see Arrears.

Billing Termination

If you no longer need to use your desktop, you can unsubscribe from or delete it to stop the billing.
