Billing

Core CTS functions are free of charge. These free functions cover the entire service provisioning process and basic trace management, including:

• Enabling trackers at no additional cost
• Real-time trace tracking for accurately capturing cloud resource operations
• Storing and searching audit traces generated within seven days for free, which meets short-term trace query and compliance requirements

You can also combine CTS with other cloud services to gain value-added capabilities, such as trace transfer and key event notifications. The fees for these value-added services are charged by the corresponding cloud services according to their billing rules. Use these value-added services as required.

The following lists CTS's value-added capabilities and the associated cloud services.

• Trace transfer: You can configure a tracker to transfer trace files to OBS buckets. Trace files transferred by the management tracker are permanently stored, and trace files transferred by a data tracker are stored for a specified period. For details about OBS billing, see Billing Overview.
• Trace file encryption: After enabling trace transfer, you can use DEW to encrypt trace files stored in OBS buckets. For details about DEW billing, see Billing Overview.
• Log transfer: CTS allows you to transfer audit logs to LTS. However, LTS log storage is a charged service. For details about LTS billing, see Billing Overview.
• Key event notification: CTS provides the key event notification function to alert you via mobile phones and email addresses whenever specific critical operations are performed.
