Application User

This feature enables fine-grained management of user data access permissions in business systems (those utilizing encryption plugins), specifying which users can view unencrypted plaintext data and which can access anonymized data. It ensures the security of sensitive information while allowing tailored data access permissions for users with different roles.

Adding Role

Create a new application user and assign a unique identifier, username, and other information.

  1. Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator sysadmin account.
  2. In the left navigation bar, select User Management > Application User.
  3. In the right area, click Add User.

  4. In the New User dialog box, configure the application user information.

    Parameter

    Description

    Username

    Required. Used when external application systems call the encryption plugin's permissions. The external system login username must be created here to enable the plugin.

    Unique Identifier

    Used to identify the uniqueness of external application users within this system; prevents duplication.

    Remarks

    Optional. Provide additional information such as the user's position, department, and purpose to facilitate subsequent management and maintenance. Example: Big Data Platform Operations Manager.

    Is Plaintext enabled

    Indicate whether the data viewed by this user in external applications is in plaintext.

    Is Desensitization Enabled

    Indicate whether the data browsed by this user in external applications is anonymized.

  5. After completing the configuration, click Confirm to generate the application user.

Viewing Role

View detailed information for all application users, including names and notes.

Editing or Deleting

Adjust information about existing application users to accommodate changing business requirements.

  1. Logging In to the Database Encryption System using the system administrator sysadmin account.
  2. In the left navigation bar, select User Management > Application User.
  3. When you hover over the character you want to edit, Edit/Delete appears.

  4. You can edit and delete characters as needed.

  5. Click Confirm to proceed.
