Configuring Global Notifications

When you need to manage multiple alarm rules, it is time-consuming and error-prone to manually configure a notification policy for each rule. To address this challenge, Cloud Eye allows you to centrally configure notification policies for all alarm rules. You can click the Global Notifications button on the Alarm Rules page to use that function. This greatly simplifies the alarm rule configuration process and improves O&M efficiency.

Constraints

  • Global notifications are supported only in regions where notification policies are available.
  • Global notifications apply to all alarm rules.
  • Global notifications apply only to alarm rules in the selected region.
  • If the masking status of an alarm rule is Applied, global notifications will not be sent within the masking duration.
  • If Notified By of an alarm rule is set to Notification policies and its alarm policy is the same as that in global notifications, the system sends alarm notifications only once.
  • If Notified By of an alarm rule is set to Notification groups or Topic subscriptions with identical settings to those in global notifications, the system sends alarm notifications twice.
  • Global notifications are now available in some regions and will be available in other regions soon. For details, check the console.
