Viewing Monitoring Metrics
Scenarios
The cloud platform provides Cloud Eye to help you obtain the status of your ECS instances. This section describes how to view details of AS group metrics to obtain information about the status of the ECS instances in the AS group.
Prerequisites
The ECS instance is running properly.
Constraints
- If there are no instances in an AS group, only the Number of Instances metric is available. Metrics such as CPU Usage and Disks Read Rate are available only when there are instances in the AS group.
- Monitoring metrics such as CPU Usage and Disks Read Rate are not available for ECS instances that are stopped, faulty, or deleted. After such ECS instances restart or recover, the monitoring metrics are available.
Viewing Monitoring Metrics on Auto Scaling
With the monitoring function on the AS console, you can view the monitoring metrics of all ECS instances in an AS group, such as the number of instances, CPU usage, and system disk usage. These metrics help you learn about the resource usage of the AS group.
- Log in to the AS console.
- Click the name of the target AS group to go to the Overview page.
- Click the Monitoring tab to view the monitoring data of the AS group. In any monitoring metric view, click
to switch to the full-screen view. At the top of the page, you can select a monitoring period (last 15 minutes, last 30 minutes, last 1 hour, last 2 hours, last 3 hours, last 12 hours, last 1 day, last 7 days, or last 30 days). You can also customize a time range to view the monitoring data within that specified period.
The monitoring data is the average value of all ECS instances in an AS group.

Viewing Monitoring Metrics on Cloud Eye
The cloud platform provides the Cloud Eye service. On the cloud service monitoring dashboard, you can view the monitoring metrics of all ECS instances in an AS group, such as the number of instances, CPU usage, and system disk usage. These metrics help you learn about the resource usage of the AS group.
- Log in to the Cloud Eye console.
- In the navigation pane on the left, choose Cloud Service Monitoring > Auto Scaling.
- Locate the row that contains the target AS group and click View Metric in the Operation column. On the displayed details page, you can view monitoring metrics of the AS group.

It can take a period of time to obtain and transfer the monitoring data. Therefore, wait for a while and then check the data.
