Configuring a File Backup Vault

Scenarios

After the system discovers backup clients, configure a vault for each client to have the backups automatically stored to the vault.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CBR console.

    1. Log in to the management console.
    2. Click in the upper left corner and select a region.
    3. Click and choose Storage > Cloud Backup and Recovery > File Backups.

  2. Click the Backup Clients tab and locate the target backup client. Then, click Configure Vault in the Backup Configuration column.
  3. On the displayed page, select a vault. See Figure 1.

  4. Click Yes. View the configured vault in the Backup Configuration column of the backup client list.
  5. (Optional) If a backup policy is not applied when you create the hybrid cloud backup vault and now you want to configure auto backup for backup clients, click the vault name in the Backup Configuration column and apply a backup policy to the vault. See Figure 2.

  6. (Optional) Click Apply Backup Policy. Select an existing backup policy or create a new one. See Figure 3.

  7. (Optional) Click OK. The policy is successfully applied to the hybrid cloud backup vault.
