Managing Instance Tags
You can add tags to database audit instances for easy management. This section describes how to add a new tag or existing tag to an instance, delete a tag from an instance, and search for instances by tag.
Prerequisites
The database audit instance is in the Running state.
Constraints and Limitations
Up to 50 tags can be added to each DB instance.
Adding a New Tag to an Instance
- Log in to the DBSS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - In the navigation tree on the left, choose Instances.
- Click the name of an instance. On the displayed page, click the Tag tab.
- Click Add Tag in the upper left corner. In the dialog box that is displayed, enter the tag key and tag value. Figure 1 Adding a tag
You can add multiple tags to an instance in the dialog box.
- Click OK.
Selecting an Existing Tag for an Instance
- Log in to the DBSS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - In the navigation tree on the left, choose Instances.
- Click the name of an instance. On the displayed page, click the Tag tab.
- Click Add Tag in the upper left corner. In the dialog box that is displayed, select an existing tag key and a value. Figure 2 Adding a tag
You can add multiple tags to an instance in the dialog box.
- Click OK.
Edit a Tag
- Log in to the DBSS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - In the navigation tree on the left, choose Instances.
- Click the name of an instance. On the displayed page, click the Tag tab.
- Click Edit in the Operation column of a tag. In the displayed dialog box, edit the tag value. Figure 3 Edit a tag
- Click OK.
Deleting a Tag
- Log in to the DBSS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - In the navigation tree on the left, choose Instances.
- Click the name of an instance. On the displayed page, click the Tag tab.
- Click Delete in the Operation column of a tag. In the displayed dialog box, enter DELETE and click OK. Figure 4 Deleting a tag
A tag cannot be deleted from multiple instances at a time. You can only delete one tag from one instance.
Searching for Instances by Tag
- Log in to the DBSS console.
- Click
in the upper left corner on the displayed page and select a region. - In the navigation tree on the left, choose Instances.
- In the search box above the instance list, select a tag key and a value to filter the instances with the specified tag.
